UMYF
make 65 Cheese balls for Thanksgiving - Now taking orders
for Christmas
The Combined UMYF Group between Bedford First and
Harrodsburg made and sold 65 Cheese balls for
Thanksgiving. The 4 youth from BFUMC who worked hard were
Alexis Clifton, Mary Hawkins, Elizabeth Brim, and Sharon
Cuba. A huge thank you to the adults who voluntered their
time and help, Amy Voris, Judy Clifton, Nancy Cuba and
Pastor Tim.
If you missed the opportunity to support the youth at
Thanksgiving, you can support them now by ordering your
Christmas Cheese ball! Orders will be taken through
Wednesday, Dec. 19th and be ready for pickup on Sunday,
Dec. 23rd after the 10:30am Service. Cheese balls can be
frozen for later use. All proceeds are used for future
youth mission and adventure trips. |

Baptism Service/Youth Confirmands
On Sunday, December 23rd during the 10:30am worship
service, we will have the privilege of witnessing
decisions made by some of our youth during their
confirmation.

Spring Break 2008 for Senior High Youth
Come join the Lawrence County Youth
Network for an amazing week of Spring Break. Pastor Joy
is currenlty registering any senior high youth (grades 9 -
12) who would like to attend to Laguna Beach Retreat
center just outside Panama City with other local churches
in Lawrence County. The group will leave Monday, March
24th at 6:30am and return Saturday, March 29th in the
afternoon. Travel will be by bus with other local youth
groups. While at Laguana Beach, there will be devotions,
games, excursions, beach time, along with putt-putt,
basketball etc. The cost of $300 includes all lodging,
meals, and transportation. See pastor Joy for a brochure
and/or event registration sheet. The first deposit of $50
is due January 4th. |
District Youth Christmas Roller Skating Party on Dec.
30th!
The Youth will be leaving
Bedford Church parking lot at 4pm on Dec. 30th to attend a
District Youth Skating Party at Western Skateland in
Bloomington, IN. Cost is $3 or 3 canned food items. We
will return at aprox. 8:15pm that evening. Please let
pastor joy know if you plan to bring friends in order to
have plenty of transportation! |

Quarter after the BNL/Mitchell game
On Friday, Jan. 11th following
the BNL/Mitchell game there will be a 5th quarter party
for all youth in grades 6-12 at the Church of God in
Mitchell. The Lawrence County Youth Network will be
hosting this event. Transportation to/from this event
will be available. More information to follow.
Sr. High YAC (Youth Annual Conference) February 2008
Youth currently in grades 9
- 12 are eligible to attend Sr. High YAC 2008 on
February 23-24. This event will be held at the Hilton
Indianapolis North Hotel. (Ask a Elizabeth Brim or
Sharon Cuba about these wonderful accomodations!) The
theme for this event is "Sowing and Reaping - a man
reaps what he sows". For more information about this
event check out www.sicumc.org. More information to
follow in January. Let pastor Joy know if you are
interested in attending this event. |

Youth Spiritual Growth Retreat
Greensburg UMC is hosting a
youth spiritual growth retreat on January 11 & 12, 2008.
Youth currently in grades 6 thru grade 12 are invited to
attend. Cost for this event is $10 per person. Youth
will be spending the night at Greensburg UMC. Please see
